There were many superheroes and princesses at the Super Magical Princess and Superhero Ball Saturday afternoon and everyone had a great time.

"It's very good, everyone showed up and their having a good time dancing and doing the activities we had planned for them and that's what we wanted. There's a good mix of princesses and superheroes this year," shared Kasey Mcintyre, with the Estevan Kinettes. "I think it's a sign that it's a successful event when you can have both come and feel comfortable attending."

The event had many activities for the children that were run by a few of the volunteer princesses and superheroes meanwhile the other volunteers visited and danced with the guests. Dancers from the Drewitz School of Dance gave a couple of performances to start off the event, followed by guest speaker, Cassidy Evans and her mother Kimberly and performances by a few of the princesses.

"Cassidy and Kimberly, both came from down from Saskatoon to talk and we had met at a Kinsman and Kinette convention in Prince Albert in June when Cassidy spoke about CF[Cystic Fibrosis] and what it's like living with CF."

The theme this year was 'princesses and superheroes come together to fight for a cure' and Mcintyre felt that message was there. They also received a $250 donation from a member to go towards CF. In total, they raised $3700.00 for Cystic Fibrosis.
