7:35 p.m. - A location has been established in Nipawin for families to gather. Nipawin Apostolic Church, 109, 4th Ave. East, Nipawin.

Information will be provided to them there as it becomes available. Emergency Measures personnel will attend as will Victim Services representatives.

7:20 p.m. - Nipawin RCMP, along with multiple emergency personnel, are continuing rescue efforts after a semi-trailer unit collided with a passenger bus carrying members of the Humboldt Broncos hockey team.

Fatalities have been confirmed, as have a number of injuries. RCMP are unable to confirm numbers at this time.

The Humboldt Broncos team bus has reportedly been involved in a crash on the way to a game in Nipawin.

Nipawin RCMP said in a news release they are on the scene of a "serious" collision on Highway 35 about 30 kilometres north of Tisdale near the junction of Highway 335.

The crash involved the Broncos team bus, according to the Nipawin Hawks Twitter account. There are other, unconfirmed reports that the crash involved a semi.

Traffic is expected to be blocked or restricted for several hours and drivers can expect lengthy delays, police said.

RCMP ask those travelling in the area to use extreme caution around emergency personnel and avoid the area if at all possible.

STARS Ambulance has been dispatched to the scene.
