It seems that most in the southeast had a quiet holiday season. And that is true as well for the town of Redvers.

"It's been pretty quiet," shared Brad Hutton, Fire Chief for the Redvers Fire Department. "We haven't had any calls. I hope I don't jinx it."

He did share one piece of advice that is good for those who have yet to take down their real Christmas trees. 

"If they're dried up, be cautious and get them removed from your houses."

He added that this is also a good time to make sure you are prepared for anymore cold weather we might receive. 

"Make sure your survival kits are up to date and in your vehicles."
