Redvers is moving forward on a number of improvements for their residents.

"We've got Loraas Disposal that is offering curbside garbage pickup and recycling," explained Bonnie Rutten, Town Administrator, "We're just in the beginning stages of implementing that and everyone seems to be doing very well."

"One week Loraas will pick up the garbage and the next week they'll pick up the recycling."

She added that it seems to be going very well.

"The feedback I'm hearing is that their garbage has really gone down with the recycling. In fact, their recycling bins are fuller than their garbage bins."

As well, Redvers is asking all residents to have house numbers on their houses for safety reasons.

"For emergency vehicles and delivery vehicles to know where to get to them. There's a few house in Redvers that don't have a number on them so it makes it hard when 911 is called or even just a delivery truck if they don't know where to go."

"And we do provide numbers here at the Town Office. They're not the prettiest numbers, but they're numbers if cost is a factor, we have numbers here that residents can pick up and put on their house."

She adds that the town is strongly encouraging the use of house numbers but no penalty is in effect as of yet.
