The Estevan Regens Disposal would like to remind the public on what they should recycle.

"We are always working to try and educate our residents on what can and can"t be recycled and the single stream program has been a huge success in all of our communities, people love that they don't have to sort materials and we love that too but there is always a few items that end up in our recycling system that are not supposed to be there," shared Travis Frank the Sales and Marketing Manager at Regens Disposal.

"We are allowed a certain percentage of trash materials to go through so there's always some small errors. Most recently we started a campaign on our social media page where we highlighted some of the strange oddities that have come through such as most recently a tire and some wood paneling and an air compressor. We're just trying to make sure we educate people and remind everybody what the best way to recycle and dispose of materials are as well as keeping everyone encouraged in recycling as much as we can."

"We offer a warranty on our carts so if customers have a broken lid or a broken cart they are welcome to contact us and bring them down to our office and we will toss them out. We try to encourage customers to take the best care of their carts and try to avoid breaking them, the best thing to do there is to ensure that they are brought back to the house as early as possible, not left out especially on windy days and things like that but if you have a cart that's falling apart then we are happy to help you out and replace that," explained Travis.

Recycling has multiple positive outcomes such as saving energy and conserving natural resources such as timber, water, and minerals.

Residents can't recycle items such as food contaminated paper, card board, cups or paper plates, soiled tissues, napkins and paper towels, household garbage of any kind, hazardous material, construction material and automotive parts of any kind.
