The Water Security Agency has once again increased the release rate at Alameda Dam in anticipation of an above-average spring runoff.

Snowfall in the first couple weeks of March has increased the Alameda reservoir inflow forecast.

On Friday, March 17, the release rate was increased from 5 meters cubed/second to 10 metres cubed/second, reaching that rate as of Monday, March 20.

If necessary, the release rate could be increased again to 15 meters cubed/second.

The Water Security Agency advises those in the area to use caution on or near the ice at all times.
