Members of the Estevan Police Service hit the streets Wednesday evening to ensure people were choosing safe rides home.

"Wednesday night is wing night...we patrol those areas pretty heavily and there were no issues, whatsoever," stated Constable Don DeChief, "Taxi cabs were out and there were a few vehicles as a sleepovers."

Despite the extremely slippery conditions during the day, only one accident was reported by police. This occurred at the intersection of 2nd Street and 4th Avenue. One vehicle was towed from the scene, and one driver was charged with driving too fast for the conditions.

Other matters handled included keeping the peace during an eviction, harassment and a disturbance, as well as a false medical distress call.
