After the first night kicking off with a parade throughout the city, and the first show over at the Estevan Exhibition Grounds. The weekend festivities have begun. And Laura Mantei the Rodeo Chairperson recapped the first night, "Everything went really good, we had a nice crowd. Good performance, everyone was really happy with how they made out."

Mantei mentions a great night, "The cabaret went over well, but everybody there was having fun," she told us of last nights cabaret.

As for today's events, "Well, today this is just the slack that we're having here this morning, the slack is just for the extra cowboys who couldn't get into the perf. And then at 2 pm were having our second performance, it's starting out with the Wild Horse Race, and I've got two teams in that. And we're going to Calcutta those teams off, and then go right into the rodeo. And once again the Calamity Cowgirls will be performing, and I just hope people come out and enjoy the afternoon."

For the locals that you can cheer on, "We have one for sure that I know of, Jeremy Ross, Dr. Ross. Duane Gillespie is also local, he'll be in the steer wrestling and the team roping. There's Drew Dahonic, she's another one that's going to be out here local." And also, Markie Daoust is another local who competed in Barrel Racing.

"Well, then tomorrow we have a full day as well, we'll have to start at 9 am with the Kiddies Rodeo. And then the Dirty Dozen Mud Run is going to be going on around 10:30 am. And then at 1 o'clock were having the Ranch Rodeo."

We will update you on results throughout the weekend as they become available.
