RCMP are now confirming an accident last week involving an ambulance.

The incident occurred near Oxbow on February 21st as the ambulance was transporting a single male patient.

RCMP spokesman Cpl. Bob King confirmed the accident with Discoverestevan

“There was an accident involving an ambulance on the 21st” Cpl. King said. “The ambulance was transporting one male patient at the time. Right now the circumstances of the accident are still under investigation, so nothing has been exactly determined”.

Cpl. King added that preliminary information suggested that the ambulance went off the road and rolled onto its side.

Regarding the patient being transported, he was moved to a second ambulance and brought to hospital where he died a short time later. There is no official word as to whether or not his death was related directly to the accident.
