Ronza Reynard, the manager of the Salvation Army’s Family Services program, has continued to see a growing demand for its services.

If you have heard around the City of Estevan that the food bank is in need, you are correct and Ronza confirmed, "Yes, we are in need of a few items, the food bank is picking up. We had a really busy August, so it was pretty much double of what July was. People are now getting back into the swing of things. September started out so far really busy for us, so we are in need of a few items for the food bank. We're looking for canned meats, 1Litre juices, sidekicks, hamburger helper, and we need cereal too. That's something that's important to put in our hampers, but we are very low on cereal at the moment as well."

If you are looking to drop things off Reynard gives us those details as well, "They can definitely drop stuff off here right at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. This is where the food bank is and we would gladly accept any donation of things for our food bank. Or monetary donations and I will go do the shopping if people don't have the time, that's okay we don't mind. So if some people in the community can help us out, maybe throw together some office food drives, that would be wonderful."

If you would like to contact Ronza if you have any questions, give her a call at 634-2074. She adds, "I can definitely answer questions for them and help them with suggestions."
