2018 was a good year for donations and programs at the Estevan Salvation Army and Food Bank. There were many food drives with many donations throughout the year. The food bank gave out close to 50,000lbs of food this year with over 1000 people who accessed the food bank. Ronza Reynard, family services coordinator at the Estevan Salvation Army is expecting the food bank to be as busy next year as it was this year. The Salvation Army held many programs.

"We were able to help many people in the community this year with our community income tax program," explained Reynard. "We were able to help people with low income, seniors or people on disability to help get their income tax done this year. We sent a number of children to summer camp, our numbers were a little low this year so hopefully, we can get them up in 2019."

They also had their back to school backpack program this year where they helped 50 children in need of school supplies. The Salvation Army is hoping for another successful year in 2019.
