SaskEnergy has released its annual report for 2017-2018. The corporation declared a dividend of $39 million and dedicated $109 million toward safety measures across its 85,000 km of pipelines.

SaskEnergy has invested in projects to increase capacity while also moving high-pressure transmission pipelines away from cities.

This year the corporation has added more than 3,700 new customers, bringing the total up to 58,000 new customers in the past 10 years, achieved $4.2 million in cost reductions, and a consolidated net income of $144 million.

Operational highlights from SaskEnergy’s Annual report include:

  • An audit score of 90 percent in the Energy Safety Canada Certificate of Recognition program, which examines and evaluates an organization’s safety programs
  • The development of a standard for installing technology on new mobile compressor units with the goal to reduce both greenhouse gas emissions and operating costs
  • The offer of among the lowest residential delivery rates in the country
