“I’m proud of what Crescent Point has accomplished.”

Those words from Scott Saxberg, who is stepping down as the president and CEO of Crescent Point Energy. The announcement was made via a press release from the company yesterday. Saxberg served as the president and CEO of the company for 15 years and was one of the founders of Crescent Point, dating back to 2001.

Taking Saxberg’s place on an interim basis is Craig Bryksa.

Bryksa has been with the company for 12 years, and at one point, served as Vice President of Engineering West. He most recently was overseeing operating activities in a number of regions, including Saskatchewan, North Dakota and Alberta.

Saxberg also stepped down from the company’s board of directors. Bryksa will be taking over his seat on the board as well.

“After 15 years as the CEO, it’s time for me to move on and I’m confident and excited for Craig and the team to oversee Crescent Point’s long-term success,” Saxberg said in the press release.

Crescent Point has said they will not be commenting further on the issue at this time.
