The Saskatchewan Party leadership election less than two weeks away.

Lynn Little, director of education for the South East Cornerstone Public School Division, said she hopes to see a funding increase after budget cuts in recent years.

"Because we had to make so many reductions in order to come close to balancing our budget last year we made some changes that are just not sustainable," said Little.

She said about $2.5 million additional dollars are needed each year in order for the school division to maintain a status quo.

Little said they also need teachers and support staff, which will require funding.
