The Souris Valley Theatre has a great Season Opener with Homecoming.

Robert Godfrey with the Theatre recapped the show, "Homecoming was an amazing show for us, it was a great way to start off our 28th season. It was a fantastic show, it was hilarious. The cast and the crew we had were top quality in so many ways. And one of the things I loved about this show, was that it incorporated a number of people from the community. We had City councilor Travis Frank, Mayor Roy Ludwig, from the Radio Station the Manager Nick, and from Sun 102 afternoon's Victoria Utman and it was just amazing having a community connection to add to our professional theatre. It was just an amazing show to start off our season. We had a lot of great reviews from the public, which we love hearing. And it also showed in our numbers, this year were about double our numbers from last year. Which is a fantastic way to start our season. The biggest thing about doubling the numbers is, it allows us to bring in the top caliber of entertainment, to continue to get amazing shows in. And were sure that with the line-up for the rest of the season, that were going to continue to see those numbers continue to grow. So I really think we are in a position to bring this quality of entertainment to the city of Estevan for many years now."

The Theatre continues to thrive and is looking forward to the rest of the season.

"I want to thank the community of Estevan for supporting our theatre. We are a non-profit organization, so if it were not for the support of the city of Estevan, the government for the great grant, and our many sponsors. But also for the support of the community and there positive buzz about the theatre, we wouldn't be able to do the things we do. And were really hoping that people can find the time to head to the theatre, as we have the top calliber live professional theatre. A really big gem in our area, normally you would have to go to Regina, Moose Jaw, or Saskatoon for this. Were so lucky to have this right in our area, its a lot of fun coming out. Its an experience coming out to our Theatre."

Showings will continue throughout the year and you can get all of the details on their website, http://www.sourisvalleytheatre.ca/.
