The generosity of the community could not have been more apparent ahead of the Christmas season, than 2018's 'Gift of Toys' toy drive for the Angel Tree.

Young and old came out in droves to drop off toy, including young Ryder, who sacrificed his birthday money to ensure that someone else could have a happy holiday.

"The kids that are poor don't have Christmas every year, so I'm just donating some toys, so...they can play some fun stuff with their family," he explained. Card games, a coloring book and a stuffed animal were all contributed by the exemplary young man.

Nathan, Eoin and Abbey Jones from Eclipse Downhole Solutions brought a truckload of toys...

Three locations were set up to receive donations, Power Dodge, Murray GM and Your Toy Store and More, and all three of them saw an influx people eager to donate and do their part to put a smile on a child's face.

"It's amazing. I cannot thank the generosity of this community enough. It is out of this world. There's going to be so many happy kids, come Christmas morning," expressed an ecstatic Char Seeman with the Angel Tree.

...all loaded up at Murray GM.

The entire Angel Tree collection period wraps up on Saturday, with the mountains of items transported from the collection locations to the St. Giles Anglican Church. This is where they will all be set up and arranged, waiting for parents to come and select a toy to give to their child this Christmas on Monday and Tuesday.
