The recent blizzard left behind a lot of snow to clean up. however, impressive progress has been made in those efforts.

"City crews are still going strong, and putting in long days," related Roads and Drainage Manager Norm Mack.

"We do see a weather system that may be approaching from Montana, however, so we don't want to put our cards down and think that we are free and clear. We have about 70 percent of the city cleaned up all the way, and we're going to continue that."

He noted that keeping the streets clear of the white stuff not only assists with the traffic flow, it also helps manage the drainage when it starts to melt.

Mack said that priorities one and two streets are complete or in the process of being blown off, and they will be working on priority threes.

"That snow is just too heavy to leave on the streets."
