For those who enjoy outdoor winter activities, the recent snowfall in the area was a welcomed sight. And that is no more true than at Moose Mountain Provincial Park.

"It's been pretty slim pickings around here for the whole winter," shared Park Manager, Joan Adams. "Although because the park is forested, when we do get snow, it does tend to stay on the trails quite a bit longer even into spring."

"This last dump of snowfall that we got was definitely welcomed in the park."

She added that their only concern now is making sure to keep the roads clear for residents and visitors.

"We have lots of permanent residents in the park and cottagers that come snowmobiling. It's just getting the main roads and arteries open in the park."
