The Estevan Snowmobile Club finally has something to look forward to within the bitter cold we have been slammed within recent days.

The last blanket of snow to cover us should be enough to get the machines out and blasting across the southeast.

David Heier is a member and organizer with the group and said that they are planning on getting the trails built up in the near future.

"We're hoping we can get a crew together Saturday and get from Estevan to our 361 shelter which is up by Benson done and our crew is looking from getting maybe from Benson to Arcola."

Heier added that if things continue to stay like this that they will have their first derby on February 8.

The last two or three years have been tough sledding for the group with a lack of snowfall hitting the are and causing later and shorter seasons.
