Southeast College's Annual Food Drive wrapped up yesterday, campus locations in Estevan, Moosomin, Whitewood, Indian Head and Weyburn all accepted donations as part of its annual Christmas food drive.

Sheena Onrait, manager of marketing and communications for Southeast College, "It went really well actually, we had a really big box of food that we took down as well. We had one of our staff members come in at the very last minute with a whole bunch of bags of potatoes. And he usually does that every year, so we have some very generous students and staff that participated at the Estevan campus this year."

Onrait shares how long they have been collecting food, "It ran for about a month, it started at the beginning of December and then we took the donations down to the Salvation Army yesterday afternoon."

"We're just really proud of all of our staff and students, and giving back to the communities that we serve at the Southeast College especially at this time of year."

As part of an added bonus this year, every donation that a person makes either a non-perishable food item donation or a cash donation will earn a draw ballot. At the end of the collection period a draw at each location was made for a prize package.
