If you've traveled down 13th Avenue at some point over the past few days, you probably had to squeeze into the right lane to avoid crews working in the center.

They've been laboring to make it all look pretty, according to Parks Manager Rod March.

"That was just under budget submissions for 2018, all approved through Council. There's some old clay pavers and stuff that are broken up over the years. I'm just replacing those, cleaning up the area, replacing the old flower planters that are there with some bricks that we had down at the yard that match the ones on King. Then, we'll be moving to the north medians to finish up a bit of work up there, and put in some new planters and stuff. It's just cleaning up the area again."

He added that, due to weather, they've gotten started a little later than normal. However, they plan to finish the south side by next week, and then spend a couple weeks on the north medians.
