St. Joseph's Hospital held their 80th-anniversary celebration on Monday that kicked off with a tasty pancake breakfast. There were many people who came out to enjoy the breakfast and they had a full chapel for the mass that followed.

"We chose the opportunity of our 80th anniversary to celebrate a lot of the great things that have happened over our history,' shared Greg Hoffort Executive Director For St. Joseph's Hospital.

Not only did they want to celebrate the hospital, but they also wanted to pay tribute to the Sisters of St. Joseph and the St. Joseph Healthcare Auxiliary as well. They revealed a monument for the Sisters of St. Joseph for building the hospital and for all they've done for the hospital. There is a monument for the St. Joseph Healthcare Auxiliary as well to show the appreciation for all they've done throughout the years also to celebrate their 80th anniversary. Fortunately a couple of the Sisters of St. Joseph was able to come out for the celebration as well as a few of the ladies from the Auxiliary.

Hoffort also unveiled a display across from the long-term home entrance. the display held memorabilia collected throughout the 80 years as well as the original cross that was on the first St. Joseph hospital before it burned down back in 1936. The display and monuments are beautiful additions to the hospital that the public should check out next time they visit the hospital.

"We are very happy with the great turnout and it's nice that the day is important to have, but the Sisters and the Auxiliary's legacy will live on with this nice little tribute we've paid to them."
