Things are fairly status quo in the Town of Stoughton following their recent council meeting.

"We're just getting ready for year-end," shared Mayor Bill Knous. "It's looking good, we're just idling along. Nothing new, nothing big coming up."

He shared they still have a few projects that need to be paid off before they look to any new ones.

The weather has been a big help to the council as well since they've saved quite a bit of money not having to run the snowplows as much as last year.

"Actually, it's been a great winter for that. More sanding than plowing, not much snow to remove."

Knous added that unfortunately he won't be able to attend this year's SUMA convention however, three counselors and the administrator will be attending.

"They'll just go and put their nose to the grindstone, see what they can get out of it, bring home whatever they got and we'll look at it."

Stoughton council will meet again on February 13th.
