The City of Estevan Council brought up a few topics of discussion for their meeting on Monday.

"We had an assessment last year and it was propped with issues and we're having SAMA there, they'll be asking some questions. Because of the fact that Estevan, this past year they went house to house and reassessed all of the properties. Because of that they went a bit late and now we're running a month or two behind with getting out the tax notices, so we'll be discussing that more in length on Monday night," stated Mayor Roy Ludwig.

The City of Estevan is looking into doing construction work on both Nicholson road and King street.

"On Nicholson road we're doing a water main replacement for a couple of blocks. On King street, this year is due to do the east half, we did the first half last year up to pine and now we'll be finishing that going east to Kensigton. That'll be great once we get that done because as you know especially in the south lane it's very rough."

The Council is also looking into bringing up some bylaws.

"The solid waste contract is up, so we'll be discussing that. That should be interesting of itself," he explained.

"As you know through the budget we had agreed on a 1% increase on the taxes, so we'll be discussing that."
