Rod March with the City of Estevan gave us the details about this year’s pool shut down, “So we're going to be shutting down from September 3rd to the 30th here, and we’ll being doing annual maintenance at that time.”

March adds there is quite the system running, “Which is a pretty extensive process underneath the pool. You can actually, walk around in underneath. It's kind of cool down there.”

He continues to explain the large process, “But down under there are all of your valves, filters, and seals, all that sort of thing that we change out annually as preventative maintenance. And we’ll be doing the cleaning of all that equipment, doing a little bit of upgrading. All your bearings that sort of thing.”

“And upstairs or in the pool area itself, we’ll be cleaning and painting, that sort of thing. It's an annual thing that we do.”

March adds the difference in maintenance this year, “But with respect to big improvements this year, we're going to be upgrading the floors in both the family room and the men’s change room. We had a capital budget allowance for that."

We will have an update again for you after the annual maintenance and upgrades are complete.
