The Estevan RCMP is requesting the public's assistance in relation to a theft that occurred north of Estevan over the Christmas holidays.

Sometime between Monday, December 19th and Tuesday, December 27th, a residence to the northeast of the intersection of the 361 and 47 highways was broken into while the owners were away.

The thieves removed a large quantity of power tools and home electronics from the home.

The RCMP wants to make residents of Benson and Lampman aware of the fact that there are individuals engaged in this activity in their areas, and that residents should be wary of persons attempting to sell items like these.

The RCMP would also like to remind them that they should always take steps to secure their property and belongings, especially when leaving their home unattended for any length of time, such as during the holidays.
