Although summer is winding down, that doesn't stop the efforts of the City of Estevan's road work crews.

They will be busy on Thursday, and Roads and Drainage Manager Norm Mack gave a preview of what will be going down.

"The Roads and Drainage and Engineering departments will be conducting core sampling on King Street, through the Pleasantdale Valley from Cundell Drive to Hudson road. There will be one lane traffic with flaggers. Please expect delays and take alternate routes if possible."

He said that the work will start at 9:00 AM on September 28th, and they expect it to last into the early afternoon.

"Hillcrest Drive onto King Street will also be closed. In the afternoon hours, there will be one lane traffic in some of King Street from Pine Avenue to Kensington. Please use caution and slow your speed to 30 kilometers per hour."
