Around 10:30 this morning, emergency crews responded to the call of an accident.

"Police, Fire, and EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 4th Street and 4th Avenue here in Estevan," shared Sgt Kevin Reed with the Estevan Police Service. "The accident was reported as a non-injury accident but airbags had been deployed."

While there were no injuries reported, EMS was on scene to check over those involved.

The fire department also assisted in disconnecting the battery to ensure any other airbags wouldn't deploy. Both vehicles had to be towed away from the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

"One of the individuals was issued a ticket under the Trafic Safety Act and will appear in court. The ticket was issued for following too close."
