It's that time of year, coming up on the holiday season and the end of the year, where municipal bodies decipher the delicate line of what should be addressed this year, and what would be better off addressed in the new year. That, and it can also be challenge to get your full group together for a proper discussion.

Such was the case for the Town of Bienfait and their council meeting. Since not all of the members could be there, most items were tabled for the next meeting, according to Acting Administrator Nicole Gardiner.

"We are discussing the possibility of a new office for the town. This is a pretty old building, and with the bank selling, it would be pretty nice to move over there," she shared.

Another item mentioned was upcoming union negotiations for their public works employees, though Gardiner was not able to share many other details on that at this point.

Although it was a light meeting, forthcoming ones won't be, as budget deliberations for Bienfait will be taking place through December and Janurary.
