There are high hopes for the United Way's new Executive Director, Sheila Guenther.

Travis Frank, President of United Way, has nothing but positive things to say; "We are very excited to have Sheila on board. She has a lot of experience with United Way Estevan and other organizations like the Summer Games."

Sheila worked for the United Way for a number of years as the treasurer on an honorarium basis, then she joined the board of directors for a number of years and also served as President for a year.

Frank explains a little more about what the executive director's duties will include; "Our goals and the position has always been to expand our marketing, build better relationships with our member agencies, also build better relationships with our donors. We are always looking for new ways to include more businesses and involve more community members."

Guenther will be working to achieve these goals in her new position as Executive Director.

"We are very excited that Sheila is on board, She's going to do a great job, She's has a lot of experience in management, with organizations and more importantly with United Way, so we are pretty excited to bring her on and to see what kind of direction she will take United Way in."

The United Way Telethon is set to take place October 12th and 13th of this year.
