There was one injured person as a result of a car accident yesterday afternoon.

"We were alerted to a motor vehicle collision," Fire Chief, Dale Feser, "involving a motorcycle. Crews arrived on scene and found that the one injured male driver of the motorcycle and one driver from another vehicle that was involved."

"We assisted EMS in treatment of the patients. One patient was treated and released on scene and the other male patient was transported to hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries."

"Once that was accomplished, crews turned their attention to the leaking fuel and motor oil from the motorcycle just to ensure that it was not going to start on fire from the hot exhaust. We laid down some absorbent material and assisted in further clean up of the street and washing down the street from any biohazards that remain after the collision."

Crews then turned the scene over the Estevan Police Serice to direct traffic and investigate the cause of the collision. That investigation is still on-going.
