Residents of Midale woke up Thursday morning to the sight of ripped up sidewalks on Main Street.

"There was water coming in from underneath the the crawlspace at the Credit Union, and a home beside it," explained Mayor Al Hauglum, "So we started investigating it to see where it's from, and we figure it's going in through the crawlspace of the main line feeding the Credit Union."

We expect to find where the leak is coming from, repair it, and then go from there. We'll fill 'er back up and then repair the sidewalks and everything in the spring."

Hauglum said that they don't have a specific timeline for the fixes yet, as that depends on how long it takes to find the source of the leak, a challenging task in winter.

As of yet, no water advisories are in place, as they hope to be able to just isolate the valve.
