The cold weather isn't going away just yet.

A Montanna low-pressure system passed underneath the province however the system did clip the southeast corner and presented us with some heavier snowfalls, Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Lang.

"Looks like the Estevan area came in with about 15-20 centimeters in the area, that low is slowly pulling out so there still is some light snow in the area, it should slowly taper off however there is another system that is forecast to move through tomorrow so you won't see much in the way of sunshine."

The system passing through tomorrow is expected to bring another 5-8 centimeters of snow, and once that passes don't count on it warming up right away, Terry Lang.

"Once these two systems move out of the way an arctic ridge of high pressure is forecast to start moving in starting Wednesday and Thursday and we could see some really really cold temperatures perhaps the coldest temperatures of the year so far, so people should be prepared for those really cold temperatures."

Estevan has seen its fair share of cold days so far this year, with an average temperature at the beginning of last week close to -45 with the wind.
