Moose Jaw played host to the 50th Emergency Response Competition. 

Westmoreland Estevan came home as the winner in the First Aid - Surface category. Westmoreland Poplar River was the runner-up.

Mosaic Esterhazy K1 was also presented the John T. Ryan National Safety Trophy for Select Mines. They had an Injury Rate of “zero.” This means they had no lost time injuries or modified work injuries at their operations in 2017 representing almost 900,000 hours worked.

As well, Mosaic Esterhazy K2 and Brine Inflow Mine received the 2017 John T. Ryan Regional Safety Trophy in the Select Mine Category for Western Canada.

Cameco Cigar Lake Mine received the 2017 John T. Ryan Regional Safety Trophy in the Metal Mine category for Prairie Provinces and Territories.
