Estevan community organizations helped to contribute to the Telemiracle 48 event over the weekend, which raised $6.1 million dollars from across the province.

Those organizations held a number of charities throughout the year, with the Estevan Kinettes holding BBQs, auctions, and more.

They ended up donating $18,000 to the event, with a few members also going to Regina to volunteer for the event.

Estevan Kinette Club Representative for the event Krissy Wallman was there and said the event was a blast.

"The event was fantastic, they still had some pre-recorded entertainment, as well as live, and the setup is still hybrid where they had somewhat of a live audience, but you had to get advance tickets in order to come. The tickets were free and all that. They have limited seating and such and it was just it was a wonderful time, the entertainment was awesome and the atmosphere was just so energetic and it was a fun time, very busy."

Wallman says the organization has done a great job

"Although it's not the highest total that Teelemiracle has raised, it's just wonderful to see how Saskatchewan comes together and raises money and it is great. The sentiment behind Tyler Hall, who is the Telemedical chair, his stuffed bear that was dedicated to his dad, it's really wonderful. Every year it is just great to see everybody unite and raise funds."

The Kinettes will start talking about raising more funds in March when they have their next meeting.

Wallman says the night was special as she got to experience a moment on the stage.

"I got to go up on stage to do a presentation on behalf of my dad because he had a bequest. So that's probably what made it special to me this year not only being the Telemiracle rep for our club, but also being able to deliver my dad's final wish and donation towards Telemiracle that was a special moment."
