According to Environment Canada, this summer's heatwaves are officially over with long stretches of highs in the mid to upper thirties now unlikely for the rest of the season.

However, Meteorologist Bob Cormier says they are still forecasting above normal temperatures for the rest of August as we head into the fall, another season that's expected to be hotter than usual.

The normal high for this time of year is 26 with a record high of 34 set on this date back in 1991.
