Testing for COVID-19 is important, as Saskatchewan has been battling its 4th wave for over a month now, and restrictions have been extended until at least November.

That means that anyone who is unvaccinated will have to provide proof of a negative test for multiple places, not to mention those who get tested due to a close contact.

Because of this, the demand for testing has skyrocketed, and many companies are doing their best to keep up.

Carrie Elias, the owner of All-In-One Safety Limited says she's been seeing a whole lot of work over the past month.

"It's been really crazy busy," said Elias, "Really busy, yeah. We essentially became approved last Friday, it's been really busy. In fact, I've worked the weekend also.

Elias said she's been seeing a lot of that demand and has done her best to get any accommodations someone coming to get the test might need.

She got approved due to what she says is a need she saw in both Estevan and the surrounding community.

"I've seen a need for the Estevan area, and I also saw a need for people to have a test without having to travel far away," said Elias.

Elias says that despite the long hours she's had to put in, one of the benefits has been seeing people be ecstatic about having tests done.

"They're quite pleased," said Elias, "A lot of people come in with smiles on their faces and it's just someplace else where people can come in and get tested. The reaction's been great, people are really understanding if you have to wait a few minutes, that kind of thing."

Elias describes the process of being approved as very tough, with a lot of phone calls and paperwork being sent in.

"I'm trying to be here for the people. that's one of the biggest things, I started out with I wasn't really interested in doing this 100%, you know for your own health right, but somebody had to be out there for the people," said Elias, "What I can do with bookings or that kind of thing, even working weekends to try to supply these for people who need it."
