The Estevan Bruins will begin the 2023-24 campaign with a home and home against the Melville Millionaires on September 22-23.

Estevan will host the Millionaires at Affinity Place for the Friday night game, before travelling to the Horizon Credit Union Centre for the Saturday night showdown.

The Bruins are coming off a seven-game, first-round playoff loss to the eventual SJHL-runner-up Flin Flon Bombers

One of the key players this season will be recently-named captain Keegan Little. The 6-foot, 175-pound centre won the SJHL Championship with Estevan in 2021-22, and rejoined the club midway through last season after a stint at Briercrest College.

Estevan won't have to wait long to face the Weyburn Red Wings. Their main Highway 39 rivals visit the Energy City September 29 before the teams battle again in Weyburn September 30.

The Bruins will play in three games hosted by non-SJHL centres. Estevan plays the Notre Dame Hounds in Carlyle on October 20. The Bruins will also take on the Hounds when they close out the 2023 portion of games with a December 15 tilt in Midale (Estevan returns from the holiday break with a January 5 game in Weyburn). And the Kindersley Klippers will host Estevan in Rosetown on January 16.

The Bruins' SJHL Showcase games in Weyburn will be on November 13 and 14 against the Bombers and Battlefords North Stars, respectively.

The 56-game regular season closes with another home-and-home against the Red Wings, with Estevan playing hosts on March 15 and visiting Weyburn March 16.
