An end-of-the-curling-season staple is back this weekend, with the 63rd Oilmen's Bonspiel happening Friday and Saturday at the Estevan Curling Club.

Games start at noon Friday, with the championship happening Saturday night.

Club Manager Pauline Ziehl-Grimsrud said the weekend is always a popular one for curlers and fans.

"There's a lot of fun and we have a lot of spectators come and watch the curling, which is always nice. And a lot of faces we don't see that often, but it's great to see them here at the rink."

Ziehl-Grimsrud added that people interested in taking part in the dinner upstairs can still do so, but should contact the club.

The curling club's open league finished its season Thursday night, with Adam Himmelspach's rink taking the crown.
