The Estevan APEX Midget Double A Bruins earned a 3 to 1 win in Yorkton

According to Head Coach Chris Hammett, the game was tied at 1 heading into the third period, but the Bruins managed a couple of big goals.

 

He adds that despite the two goal lead in the series, the players have a lot of work ahead of them.

 

Yorkton makes the return trip to Estevan for game two next Tuesday night.

 

The top eight teams in the league qualify for provincials, with the winning team taking on the top team from the North for the Provincial Championship.
