The Heritage Town of Arcola has many things to offer if you are on a trip through the Southeast part of our beautiful province.

Mayor Keith Erick sat down to share whats going on in his community, “We’ve been doing quite a bit, we actually just finished the lagoon and we have some paving going on. Its just the regular maintenance of town and upkeep.”

But there is nothing regular about this town, “Its a quiet and small community, Everybody seems to get along. And there is roughly 250 kids from k-12 in school, and some of our younger classes are some of the bigger classes,” Keith continued. Which speaks to the amount of young families moving into this area.

“We have senior and younger kids baseball going on all the time, and the ladies have a soft-ball team going.” When speaking of the attractions to the town he mentioned, “We have a small park in one area of town and another play park in the sub-division of town.”

Keith’s personal reasons for living in Arcola, “The community and plus our grand-kids are here, so we moved here to help with the grand-kids and that.”

“Everything seems to be falling into place for us,” when asked about infrastructure. “Getting the last part of the sub-division paved, is what were mainly doing and finishing up the lagoon expansion.”
