Belle Plaine released an album today and she will be playing a show in Forget SK tomorrow at the Happy Nun. Her new album is entitled Malice, Mercy, Grief and Wrath.

"I wrote a lot about my family and those relationships for this record," Belle explained.

"What I write is generally fueled by something that I'm processing. There's family stories on the record, that are about my parents or when my Grand Mother was hit by a train in the 80s, and survived. Also lots of themes of processing what the album is named after, Malice, Mercy, Grief and Wrath, and all of those things that for me needed to be transformed into acceptance and forgiveness and redemption."

Belle will be playing most of the songs off the album at her performance tomorrow.

"The Happy Nun is such a beautiful old building and it's one of those places where the community is so strong in rallying around it and taking care of each other. I think everyone in the area is familiar with it's history and there is a lot of heart that goes into it and that's important to me. To be with people that are excited for music and are excited to build communities and I feel very honored to be part of their season. Especially with how they help all the musicians which is my community, by putting on shows."
