The Estevan Bruins have added a defenceman to their roster in acquiring Felix Allard from the Joliette Predators of the Quebec Junior Hockey League in exchange for a player development fee.

The 2003-born defenceman had 13 points in 20 games for Joliette last season. He also has significant major junior experience, having played in 48 games with the QMJHL's Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.

"Felix is a very mobile defenceman that can join the attack or he can move the puck up the ice quickly. He’s sound defensively and he’s a player that we targeted for this year. We’re very happy we were able to acquire his rights," said Bruins Head Coach and General Manager Jason Tatarnic.

Allard said he's excited to come to southeast Saskatchewan for his 20-year-old season.

"I’m really excited to finish my junior career in Estevan and I can’t wait to get the season started and try to bring another championship back to the city," he said.
