The Estevan Brewers jumped to a 3-0 lead in the second inning Thursday night, but the hosting Weyburn Beavers sunk their offensive teeth in over the fourth and fifth for an eventual 7-5 win.

Weyburn tied the game with a three-run fourth and added the rest of their offensive output with a four-run fifth. Estevan had one run in the fifth and one in the sixth.

Kaleb Poole and Tyler Saigeon had a pair of base hits each for the Brewers, while Colby Cuddington and Tanyan Strudwick smacked doubles.

Brewers starter Cade Bendtsen gave up three earned runs over four innings. He allowed six hits, striking out four and walking one.

Kaleb Bechtold took the loss, giving up four earned runs in two innings on three hits and three walks. He struck out one.

Sutter Balog got the save, finishing off the Brewers in a clean seventh on just four pitches.

Estevan is 6-2 and doesn't play until a June 26 doubleheader in Moose Jaw. Weyburn is 6-3.
