A landmark in Carlyle is no more. Yesterday, the Skyline Motor Inn was torn down.
"It's sad to see it go," shared Wayne Orsted, Mayor of Carlyle, "It's been a part of our community for a long time."
The Skyline served as a motel, restaurant, and meeting place since the late 70s.
"The Skyline used to be the place. They had dances on the weekends. A lot of people went out on weekends for dances there."
"It was just a fun place to go to in the late 70s early 80s."
No doubt a lifetime of memories were collected within those walls.
