Sometimes, catching people involved in break-and-enter cases involves a detailed investigation after the fact. Last night for the Estevan Police Service, stopping a break-and-enter suspect involved catching him in the act.

According to a release from the EPS, they were called to a report of a break-and-enter in progress in the north end of the city. They arrested the suspect inside the residence, and held him overnight. Charges are pending further investigation.

A spokesperson for the EPS said the homeowners were able to talk to the man until police arrived to take him into custody. He was intoxicated at the time and apparently did not damage the home during the break-in.
