EPS investigating suspicious person after incident on Highway 39; assault

The Estevan Police Service is reporting a pair of ongoing investigations stemming from recent calls.

Sgt. Braden Lonsberry said that they received a report Tuesday morning of a male being assaulted in the central part of the city.

"The suspect is unknown at this point in time. Further investigation's being done on that file."

Police were also called to a report of a suspicious person near Redhead Equipment (on Highway 39 on the northwest side of the city).

"The person was thrown out of the vehicle at one point in time, and actually got back into the vehicle and proceeded out of town," said Lonsberry. "We were able to locate the female later on in the evening and the matter is still under investigation."

Lonsberry said early investigation indicates it could be a domestic situation.
