Thunder, lightning, wind, and heavy rain passed through the Energy City overnight, leaving a considerable amount of moisture.

Environment Canada's monitoring station recorded 24.1 millimetres of rain on Wednesday (just under an inch), though precipitation continued to fall after midnight. 

A severe thunderstorm watch put into effect Wednesday evening was lifted at 4:10 Thursday morning.

Some more showers are expected to move through the southeast on Thursday, before hot sunny weather returns on Friday. Labour Monday could bring another bout of rain.
