One could make the argument that the safest place in Estevan was at the B&T Gun Show this weekend. The Floors were jam-packed with hunters, sportsmen, and enthusiasts. The Wylie Mitchell Hall was filled wall to wall with vendors. This is the 6th year the event has run and each year it seems to draw bigger and bigger crowds. Every year proceeds from the event are donated within the community. Kevin Thompson one of the organizers

"This year we are donating all the proceeds to the hospital and last year we did the same, i think it was just over $9000 dollars we donated to the hospital last year."  When asked if they think they will match or exceed that number this year "I guess we'll see, if people keep coming, if we get a steady flow in here than i think we can do it."

If the attendance i saw on Saturday is any indication the hospital can expect another large donation this year. The organizers are planning to put on the event for a 7th year and Kevin had one simple message.

"Tell everybody to keep on coming down to the B&T Estevan Gun Show."
