It is opening day for the Grapefruit league.

The Toronto Blue Jays will open up the season against the Detroit Tigers. The first start of Grapefruit league play for the Jays was usually reserved for Roy Halladay, but with his trade to the Philadelphia the Jays are now looking for a new number 1 pitcher.
Ricky Romero will get the first chance as he will start today. Romero will pitch for 2 innings. The Jays lineup today could be the same one that starts on opening day. Jose Bautista will lead off, with Aaron Hill and Adam Lind are in the 2-3 holes. Vernon Wells is batting cleanup followed by Lyle Overbay, new catcher John Buck is 6th, righfielder Jeremy Reed in 7th, shortstop Alex Gonzalez is 8th and in 9th is leftfielder is Travis Snyder.
